A mug of creamy, dairy free hot chocolate is the key to getting through these chilly, winter nights.
Scratch that. It’s not even (technically) winter yet. I’ve got another 10 days before the official start of winter. But what it is, is a balmy 2°F as I write to you.
The hubby and I recently moved back to our home state of Wisconsin. Since this is my first week back, I decided to spend the week at our cabin for a little down time. First and foremost, it’s a beautiful, sunny day. There is a fresh layer of snow on the trees. The lake is covered in ice. And the cabin is freshly decorated for the holidays.
While this all paints a pretty picture, it needed just a little something. No holiday-esque scenery is complete without a mug of hot cocoa. Am I right?!
So put on your fuzzy socks, light the fireplace, and turn on your favorite Christmas movie. Because we are going to top it all off with some creamy, dairy free hot chocolate.
However, this isn’t just any Swiss Miss hot chocolate. After all, you wouldn’t need SLN for that.
We’ve put together tasty recipe with some added nutrition. Why we like it:
- Cashews – creates an extra creamy texture, plus fiber, unsaturated fats, and vitamins/minerals.
- Collagen Peptides- added source of protein to keep you full, plus all these other benefits.
- Cocoa Powder – rich in polyphenols, fiber, and flavor.
- Dairy Free – so it won’t break you out (wink, wink).
