dozen crackers
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup almond meal
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients and egg. Slowly mix in water to combine until a dough-like substance forms. Transfer the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet.
  3. Using the back of a spoon, smooth out the mixture over the baking sheet. The mixture should be spread to be 1/8th inch thick. Be sure not to make the edges too thin as this can cause burning. Using a sharp knife, cut spread mixture into desired cracker shape.
  4. Place in the oven and bake for 17-20 minutes, or until the center is no longer soft. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Serve with your hummus or your favorite toppings and dip.
