- 1 pound fresh asparagus
- 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- black pepper, to taste
- lemon slices (optional)
- 1/3 cup shredded parmesan

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Trim the tough ends of the asparagus and arrange onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil over asparagus, using a basting brush to evenly coat asparagus. Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and pepper evenly over the asparagus. Top with lemon slices if desired.
- Place in the oven and bake for 8 minutes at 400 degrees. After 8 minutes, remove from oven and top with shredded parmesan. Place parmesan asparagus back in oven and cook for an additional 7-12 minutes depending on desired tenderness.
